Recent research suggests Britons may spend over £200 on the Christmas food shop this year.

Christmas is typically one of the most expensive times of the year for many, however, with living costs on the incline, Britons may be searching for ways to reduce their spending over the festive holiday. Fortunately, there are some easy tips and swaps to cut the bills down this year, and some may even be able to afford themselves a more sizeable saving.

While the ongoing cost of living crisis and rising interest rates have forced many Britons to carefully consider how to stretch their money, research by Pureprofile unveiled that the average Christmas food and drink budget still remains at a hefty £207.
