In light of the Christchurch terror attack earlier this month, we asked more than 1000 Pureprofile members about their thoughts on the live video streaming of graphic or violent content- whether or not it should be banned and who should be responsible for controlling such content.

A resounding 53% of people believe that in order to avoid the sharing of graphic or violent content, live video streaming should be banned. 20% do not think live video streaming should be banned and 18% are unsure.

Interestingly, if live video streaming is banned 22% of people think that those who defy the ban should be penalised with jail time, 29% think a monetary fine is sufficient and 35% of people believe a lifetime ban from the platform itself should be implemented. Read more insights below.
