With Australians spending an average of $1,334 on online transactions each month, according to PayPal’s eCommerce Index 2024, they have more choice than ever about where they purchase. When retailers don’t deliver on consumer expectations, they lose their chance to get a share of that ever elusive spend and miss out on building lasting customer relationships.

The consumer research consisted of a sample audience of Australians aged 18-75, and was weighted by age, gender and location to ensure data was nationally representative.
