Aussies are sitting on a smartphone stash estimated to be worth $5.7 billion in cash, at a time when cost of living pressures are at a record high, a new survey shows.
The average person has 1.5 unused smart devices tucked away at home and each has been estimated to be worth about $186, according to the survey of 1000 Australians by Pureprofile for phone company OPPO.
For the one in three people who had three older phones, or the extreme cases of users with up to 10 unused devices, a clean-out could yield even more cash.
