Victoria’s new youth bail laws have sparked intense and multifaceted discussions, revealing community concerns about safety, rehabilitation, and justice. At the same time, machete-related crimes have led to calls for stricter weapon control, with public alarm around youth crime in Victoria clearly escalating.
Using Pureprofile’s Social Insights tool powered by Quilt.AI, we explored the key social themes emerging across the state.
We surveyed 300 adults in Victoria between 2nd – 4th April 2025. This study is representative of the online adult population aged 18 and above.
