The Age: Skip all stations – industry survey backs direct link to airport

A tourism industry survey of 2700 Australians has found that most would prefer a direct link from the city to Melbourne Airport, skipping all stations.
The survey, conducted by industry body Tourism and Transport Forum and data and insights company Pureprofile,  showed four out of five people supported a direct link, in a finding that adds more fuel to Victoria’s vexed debate about its new rail link to Tullamarine.

The survey, which polled 1000 Victorians in its sample, also found 94 per cent of respondents believed current road and bus links to the airport were too slow.
