After a year of extended lockdowns, Australians are looking to the 2021 festive season with a renewed sense of hope. Families are focussed on coming together as much as state and international travel restrictions allow – to celebrate a Christmas reminiscent of pre-pandemic times.
Throughout 2021 we’ve seen major changes in our work environments, social habits and day-to-day life. This has once again had an enormous impact on the way we’ve been spending our time and money in the lead up to the festive season. Not only that, our perceptions, attitudes and beliefs have been challenged too.
To understand the ways in which we will approach the festive season, and the impact the last 12 months has had on our plans, we surveyed 1,052 members from our Australian panel, analysing the data against the insights generated in our 2019 & 2020 Christmas reports.
