Halloween has become a much-loved occasion across Australia, and our latest survey uncovers how people plan to celebrate – from popular costume choices to spending habits and the top ways Aussies are getting into the Halloween spirit.
A quarter of Australians (25%) are choosing classic costumes, such as witches, ghosts, or vampires, followed by superheroes (22%), Wednesday Addams (17%), and 12% are embracing the K-pop Demon Hunters craze.
When it comes to spending, just over half (51%) plan to keep it under $50 for costumes, decorations, events and treats. While some will head out trick-or-treating (26%) or to Halloween parties (16%), a scary movie night at home (27%) remains the most popular way to celebrate.
We surveyed 1,006 Australians to uncover their Halloween plans – from dress-up trends, to spending behaviours and how they’ll be celebrating this year.
