US food culture continues to evolve at a fast pace, with social media playing a central role in how trends emerge and scale.
From indulgent desserts to elevated comfort meals, consumers are not only adopting new food trends but also actively shaping and sharing them. For brands, identifying where momentum is building can provide early signals for innovation, positioning and campaign strategy.
Using Pureprofile’s Social Insights Tools we analysed Google Search and TikTok data from June–December 2025 to create a snapshot of the food & beverage trends gaining traction across the US.
Below are four signals currently accelerating.
1. Gooey brownie pudding: indulgence with momentum
Google searches increased by +6,775%, while TikTok views grew +196%, reaching more than 207 million views in December alone.
Consumers are recreating nostalgic desserts with a restaurant-quality twist, combining indulgence with strong visual appeal.
For brands, this presents opportunities across premium baking products, elevated dessert formats and creator-led content strategies that tap into comfort and shareability.
2. Frozen dumpling bakes: convenience reimagined
Frozen dumpling bakes recorded +537% growth in Google searches and +521% growth on TikTok.
Consumers are transforming convenient staples into visually appealing, gourmet-style dishes – reflecting growing interest in semi-homemade cooking that balances speed and creativity.
Brands can respond by positioning products as versatile, recipe-led or “hackable”, particularly through digital content that demonstrates ease and impact.
3. Cacio e Pepe mac & cheese: premium comfort at scale
With 1.26 million+ Google searches and more than 345+ million TikTok views, this globally inspired twist on mac & cheese reflects sustained consumer appetite.
Blending familiarity with elevated ingredients, the trend aligns with broader demand for premiumised comfort food.
For brands, this may signal opportunities in restaurant-inspired retail innovation, flavour extensions and premium frozen or ready-meal offerings.
4. Pistachio: a flavour moving mainstream
Pistachio saw +50% growth in Google searches alongside steady TikTok momentum.
Its rise is supported by a combination of aesthetic appeal, perceived health benefits and alignment with sustainability narratives – making it relevant across pastries, beverages and packaged foods.
Brands exploring flavour innovation or premium line extensions may find strategic value in tracking their continued momentum.
The broader pattern
Across all four trends, a consistent theme emerges: comfort, convenience and premiumisation are accelerating – particularly when products translate well to social platforms.
Search and social signals offer brands early visibility into shifting consumer preferences, helping to inform product development, positioning and marketing strategy.
